Power Hour—a tutoring program that provides educational support for students needing assistance in completing homework assignments and/or understanding necessary concepts and methods.
Goals for Graduation—introduces academic goal setting to Club members ages 6-18 by linking their future aspirations with concrete actions today. In goal-setting sessions with Club youth development professionals, members set achievable "Know-I-Can” Goals, more challenging "Think-I-Can” Goals, and yearly "Believe-I-Can” goals. Members create an action plan with daily and weekly goals leading to short- and long-term gains.
METS (Math, Engineering, Technology & Science)—structured and informal educational program for members 8 years of age and older that stimulates interest in math, engineering, technology and science by implementing fun, hands-on, participatory activities. The program builds confidence and inspires girls and boys to think about nontraditional jobs and careers for themselves in the fields of math and science.
Concoctions & Contraptions—a fun all ages hands-on science program that teaches the basics of science, art and mathematics.
Ultimate Journey— This program teaches members how all living things are inter-related, demonstrates how human actions have affected the environment, shows how individual action can help the environment and involves children in a project designed to improve, protect or restore the environment in the area in which they live.
Computer Challenge—youth members of all ages become familiar with computers through this hands-on computer lab. Staff and Teen Leaders monitor activities and encourage experimentation with computer software and techniques.
Educational Games—Games are available to members that promote math, science, geography, and reading skills for all levels of development. Staff and volunteers facilitate games when appropriate to encourage participation and team building.
Money Matters—Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13-18 by building their basic money management skills. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, budget, save and invest. They also learn about starting small businesses and paying for college.
CareerLaunch®—This fun and exciting program prepares teens for the working world. Club teens 13-18 years old embark on a journey to explore careers, make sound educational decisions and find success in the world of work.
Junior Achievement—an economic and business approach to assist youth, ages 5-15, learn the roles they play as individual workers and consumers.
Career Explorers—Age-appropriate curriculum gives opportunities for Club members to explore and subsequently pursue careers that provide them with economic autonomy and enable them to integrate a rewarding career into their lives as women, men and family members.
Job Ready— a comprehensive job readiness program for girls and boys, age 13+, that includes goal setting, decision making, research of labor market, preparation of resumes and applications, and experience in the interview process.
Teen Leaders—Members are recruited and trained for employment each quarter. They assist the Club staff in the daily program operations of our Clubhouses. Teen Leaders receive an hourly stipend and abide by a work schedule. They learn responsibility, leadership and conflict resolution skills
