Character & Leadership Programs
Leadership Clubs—Keystone and Torch Club are youth service groups that focus on community and Club service, education and social recreation. Participants elect officers, plan and implement their own activities.
Conflict Managers—conflict management training for teens. Training covers topics such as, anger and violence, types of conflict, process of conflict management, active listening, non-verbal communication, and "I-Messages.” Youth practice conflict management strategies and provide peer feedback. All Teen Leaders must complete program prior to employment.
Youth Recognition—members are recognized for outstanding efforts through award programs, such as Youth of the Month, Youth of the Year, Jr. Youth of the Year, annual Member Recognition Banquet and the Colorado Youth of the Year State Competition.
Celebrating Diversity—activities and programs are implemented each quarter that encourage girls and boys to appreciate their own and other's heritage and recognize the contributions of under-represented groups in our history.
Cultural Awareness—participants learn the importance of recognizing celebrations, such as
Hanukkah, Black History Month, Women’s History Month, and Cinco de Mayo.
