Melanie Bravo joined the Club as President/CEO on June 29, 2009. As the Boys & Girls Club’s 1997 Colorado Youth of the Year and proud alumni of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County, Melanie is honored to lead her former Club.
Prior to joining BGCPC, Bravo served at El Pomar Foundation as a member of the Foundation’s senior leadership team. She was responsible for a number of areas including: grant making, leadership development, nonprofit capacity building, and community development. Bravo also led the Foundation’s youth focused initiatives and worked closely with Boys & Girls Club leadership in
Colorado on El Pomar’s Youth Development Fund. Melanie began her professional career as the Director of Operations for the
Agora
Crisis Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Bravo earned her BA in psychology and sociology from the
University of
New Mexico.
